Step 1 » Early Spring
Crabgrass Preventer with Lawn Food
13-0-0 | 0.37% Prodiamine | 25% Slow-Release
Start your lawn care program before crabgrass has a chance to take hold.
Step 1 combines fertilizer with 0.37% Prodiamine, a pre-emergent herbicide designed to help prevent crabgrass and other listed weeds before they germinate. The 13-0-0 fertilizer provides nitrogen to help your lawn transition out of winter and begin healthy spring growth.

How to Apply:
Apply evenly to the lawn using a properly calibrated broadcast or drop spreader. Because Prodiamine is a pre-emergent, proper timing is important; it must be applied before targeted weeds germinate.
For improved performance, delay mowing for a couple of days after application, and try to follow up with half an inch of rainfall or sprinkler irrigation.

Step 2 features a 19-0-2 fertilizer with 50% slow-release nitrogen, providing both readily available nutrition and extended feeding. This helps maintain healthy growth, lawn density, and consistent green color heading into summer.

How to Apply:
Mow the lawn to normal height a couple of days before applying. If the grass is not moist at the time of application, sprinkle it lightly with water to allow the granules to adhere to the weed leaves’ surface. Do not wash the weed leaves for 1-2 days after application.
Apply evenly using a properly calibrated broadcast or drop spreader. Avoid uneven application or excessive overlap.
Step 3 » Late Summer / Early Fall

Step 3 combines a 22-0-2 fertilizer with MESA slow-release nitrogen, organic components, and 3.75% iron. This combination provides sustained nutrition while helping promote rich green color and healthy turf as the lawn transitions from summer into fall.

How to Apply:
Spread the fertilizer uniformly over the lawn with a properly calibrated broadcast or drop spreader. Avoid applying fertilizer to severely drought-stressed turf or during extreme heat and when temperatures exceed 90°F.
You may apply the fertilizer to dry or wet turf, but remember that a light watering after application helps activate the product sooner.
Step 4 » Fall
Fall Lawn Fertilizer
